Your special moment
The moment you've been waiting for... or that unplanned spontaneous surprise! Nevertheless with all the nausea and the growing there is beauty in this special time as a woman. You're growing those little feet, those lungs and everything else in between. Hard work! I know. So let this be my little piece of advice to help you decide what you should do for the maternity session you've been planing in your head the last 5 months.
Before booking your session I will send out a questionnaire based off this blog post asking you some simple questions in regard to your future session and what you're wanting to do. Give me as much detail as you can so we can make sure we achieve what you want. I also have a spot where you can paste your Pinterest link for your inspo board, please attach it so I can get an exact idea of your vision!
You've saved all the Tik Tok's, all the Pinterest ideas and made your board. Great!!! Now to decide on Outdoors? In the Studio? or Both!? For the Momma's that want it allll I offer packages that offer both locations, that gives us plenty of room to have more a family moment and then more of a you moment. But if doing both is entirely too much for you, no worries! I have multiple options on how to keep it simple with a little pizazzzz but get those photos you've been dying for either just outdoors or in the studio.
Don't forget- your significant other and your children are included in any maternity session. This is a time of celebration for everyone BUT make no mistake, this is YOUR time! So we can definitely get those cute family moments and what not, but after that it's all about YOU!
ALL Maternity Sessions Include my Client Collection Closet! What does that even mean? It means you don't have to spend more $$ on a dreamy dress you'll only use once in your lifetime! I have TONS of dresses, gowns, robes, body chains/pearls, head pieces, accessories and more to choose from! Remember the whole point of this is for you to be STRESS FREE. So let me handle everything from beginning to end. Al you have to do is show me what you want and I got the rest!
So excited you went ahead and bought a dress already without thinking, you booked and now it's too late to return it, what do you do? You can bring it to your session and we can get allll those photos you wanted plus what I have to offer. Pictures are done, now what do you do with this dramatic dress you most likely will never wear again? You can leave it with me! I have clients leave their dresses and gowns all the time with me, well because they just know they'll never use it again and that's ok! Upon leaving your garment with me you get your full gallery back along with an extra discount for a future session! The biggest bang for your buck!!
Outdoors
Looking for something more on the casual side? Outside is the way to go, and also a better option if you really want to get the kids involved and having those candid, natural moments with your spouse. I have plenty of casual and light gowns that are beach friendly but if you're wanting to stick to your casual clothes and a simple dress I am more than thrilled to go with that! Feel free to send me a pic just so I can get an idea of the style we're going for!

Outdoor session typically are at one location for those petite and classic sessions. I also offer multiple locations if you're wanting some variety in scenery that doesn't always mean we HAVE to go to two different locations. Depending on the spots we're looking at some offer a wide variety of different possible scenes just because of the vicinity it's in. When making the final decision on the spot, not to worry I got you covered! I have another golden list of Locations from Hilton Head Island, Bluffton, Okatie, Beaufort, Port Royal, Ridgeland, Charleston, Columbia. You name it!! From beaches, to grassy fields, open pastures or those dreamy oak trees with Spanish Moss- what the Lowcountry is known for, we have endless options.
OR If you have a private property or land where you'd like to have this moment capture with your family or extended family I am more than happy to come to you. A lot of the times when clients choose to use their own property they have animals, such as horses, cows, etc. If you're one of those cool people feel free to let me know and we can get artistic and include them with your children or even yourself for a styled shoot!
Fine Art studio maternity
I specialize in Fine Art Maternity which means I'm looking to do a more artistic expressive photos while capturing your pregnancy. I offer true to color traditional editing in the Studio, I've also recently added the vintage edits/look and it has been a BIG hit! So if it's something you'd like be sure to mention it in my Maternity Questionnaire. I have everything accessible to us on site incase you're not sure of what you want to do and rather go through everything yourself. Of course if you're a planner and want to know ahead of time what we'll be doing and using that is completely fine with me. I'm more than happy to send you images of current garments in the Client Collection Closet.
If there is a gown, robe, or outfit you're wanting to use or a specific look you're going for and I do not have it I am more than happy to custom order a garment/s for you at NO extra cost to you.
When bringing family along I will aim to capture those images in the first 30 mins, especially if younger kids are involved. Being a mom of four I understand when they can get bored and over it, that's no fun for anyone involved lol. So we can get them in with you first and once their part is over your significant other can take them back home or go for a ride to our nearest park just 10 mins away. While they do that, we can get through your solo part.
If you have an older child/ren, sister or friend that wants to stay that is totally okay! You are allowed to bring a max of 2 guests outside of your immediate family that can stay for the duration of your session only if family is not staying extra guests are allowed.
When booking my Studio Services everything you can think of that we'll need during the duration of your session is included, minus shoes and sticky boobie covers. All head pieces, accessories and body jewelry available upon request as well.

Got the booking part over, now let's move on to the next question- MAKE UP
My best advice even if you aren't a girly girl is to at least have your hair and brows done, some lipgloss and mascara, having that is a game changer.
Doing a Fine Art Session and want a little something more? I have a list of amazing local MUA and Hairstylists that do an amazing job when it comes to creating natural art for these particular sessions. They can come to you or you can come to their location. Feel free to reach out so I can send over my list!!!!
If you already booked a MUA, PLEASE let them know you're wanting a soft natural glam. For the best outcome please stay away from dramatic colors, bold creases and extra volume lashes.
